Comprehensive furnishing concept fully in line with NAS Geffen’s activities I Gispen

Finishing company NAS Geffen sought an interior design for its new premises that reflected the warm atmosphere of the family business. Gispen provided a full furnishing concept that is both homely and representative of the company. Financial director Dave Verstegen: "We were positively surprised by a very complete and fitting proposal."

TAILORED TO THE CLIENT'S WORK METHOD

Plaster walls, cast floors, spray painting: NAS Geffen is an expert in the finishing steps of a construction project. In 2022, Ondernemend Geffen proclaimed NAS Geffen Entrepreneur of the Year, partly due to the positive work environment. For their new building, NAS Geffen wanted an interior that radiates homeliness, while at the same time having a sturdy and industrial feel. Gispen fully furnished the premises. "During the first meeting, Gispen presented a layout that was very well thought through. The interior design was a perfect match with how we operate. It was the most complete proposal we received and it simply hit the spot."

NATURALLY SUSTAINABLE

Architect De Witte Oss created a sustainable design without a mains gas connection and proper insulation for the new building. Gispen compiled and proposed a circular furniture collection. The fact that Gispen made the sustainable aspect tangible really appealed to the client. The selection included Gispen Triennial chairs, of which every component can be repaired and reused separately. Dave Verstegen: "We receive a lot of positive feedback about the furniture from our business relations."

BLUE AND WARM

Danon van der Hoeven was involved in the interior design of NAS Geffen's new premises as the appointed Gispen account manager. "We opted for a warmer variant of the corporate blue for the furniture and walls. This shade of blue also serves as an accent colour in the flooring. The addition of a thread in a warm colour creates a homely atmosphere. The many plants, wooden accents and natural tree trunk tables also contribute to making the office feel familiar. Moreover, the heavy use of glass has resulted in colleagues having more contact with one another."

FAMILY ATMOSPHERE

The multifunctional area on the first floor is used for training courses, but also for anniversary parties and Saint Nicholas celebrations, for example. The room exudes the cosiness that Brabant is known for. Dirty work clothes or spilt fried snacks are no problem for the artificial leather sofa and plastic chairs with recycled shells. Danon van der Hoeven: "We opted for Gispen TEAM tables in different configurations here: high models with stools and low round tables. This adds to the informal and pleasant atmosphere. The Forbo top layer is a natural material that feels warm to the touch. These tables are light, due to their poplar plywood construction, and are therefore more sustainable when transported. NAS Geffen was very enthusiastic about the sustainable design and high quality of the Gispen furniture, which allowed us to incorporate a wonderful range of products."

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE RESULT?

"I am most happy with the layout. Almost everything is still where it was placed in the first drawing. The large Gispen TMNL desks are very handy for folding out construction blueprints. And because they are sit-stand variants, we can offer our employees an ergonomic and healthy workspace. They are very pleased and that is what counts the most to us."
