With us, you can count on us to work towards our long-term goal of net zero emissions by 2050. This is an objective of the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi), which we have joined. This means that by 2050 we will remove greenhouse gases from all our business activities: from our 5 factories, warehouses and our chain.
For decades, we have been investing in improving our production processes, resulting in reduced water and energy consumption. Efficient production also generates less waste, and we have improved our waste separation processes to enhance recycling.
For any company, the easiest starting point is to scrutinise its own operations and production processes. Since 2018, we have been measuring the CO2 emissions from our operations—known as scope 1 and 2 emissions. In 2023, we achieved our goal of reducing these emissions by 50% by 2025.
We are fully aware that the majority of our CO2 emissions—scope 3 emissions—occur outside our company. These include emissions from the production of the materials we purchase, as well as transport to our factories and clients. That’s why, in 2023, we signed the Net Zero commitment from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), confirming our ambition to achieve net-zero CO2 emissions across scopes 1, 2, and 3 by 2050.
In the coming years, we will work even more closely with our suppliers to reduce scope 3 emissions. SBTi will evaluate our submission in 2025, after which our approved reduction targets for scope 3 will be announced.
With us, you can count on us to use as many renewable energy sources as possible and set targets for global energy reduction.
