A familiar environment where every pupil is acknowledged
OBS De Horizon greatly values the development and preservation of self-esteem in pupils. The teachers demonstrate confidence in each child's abilities. They find it essential that children learn to be considerate of each other, learn how to work together, to be open to others and learn from one another. The aim is to teach children how to cooperate with their peers and what it means to have a positive influence on others, to support each other and be meaningful to the community.
The atmosphere within a school is important for the sense of security of both the pupils and teachers. The vibrant blue colour scheme of the interior and the use of a light oak decor at OBS De Horizon supports their aim of creating a pleasant atmosphere.
The podium room offers space for pupils to work on group assignments together. A special feature is the setup of coach seats surrounded by high desks and stools. Round and straight shapes alternate from one furniture piece to another. It all blends nicely together, making it easy to find your ideal spot. The acoustic panel on the wall adds a finishing touch.
The main hallway is highly flexible in use with its Set-Up in Circles. This system allows for various seating arrangements and adapts easily to a variety of class activities. Exchanging components between rooms is one of the many advantages of this furnishing concept.
