NOMI Comfort is part of the NOMI chair collection, designed by Just Meijer for Gispen. All NOMI chairs carry the same universal shell, a specially designed bucket seat with a high level of comfort and made from 40% recycled plastic. The different frames are suitable for different activities.
When Just Meijer was in the process of designing NOMI Comfort, he took inspiration from his uncle, W.H. Gispen. The result is a classic chair with the look of a contemporary designer chair. The steel frame with chrome finish will allow the user to move more due to the flex that comes with the cantilever design. NOMI Comfort is available with or without armrests.
Conference chair
The possibility to move freely when seated is what makes NOMI Comfort an excellent conference chair. The plastic shell has a sleek look to it. This conference chair is stackable up to five chairs and can be equipped with floor sliders for hard floors.

By not gluing the cover onto the seat, NOMI is easily transformed from a plastic chair into an upholstered chair.
The cover comes in a variety of fabrics. The inside is lined with a thin layer of foam for a more comfortable seat and backrest.

Gispen believes firmly in its circular model, which is why we already took account of returns and reuse of components and materials when we designed Nomi. Gispen stands for high-quality products and takes responsiblity for their entire lifespan, while reducing waste production for as far as possible. When a product is at the end of its lifecycle, we give it a new function or refurbish it into a product that is as good as new.
Make Nomi even more sustainable and opt for a durable fabric. We work with many fabric suppliers, of which some use hemp-based or recycled plastic materials.

Very sustainable
The shell of NOMI is made through ‘co-injection’ technology and is unique in its structure and compound: it consists standard of 40% recycled materials, the remainder of a new thermo-plastic polymer. This makes Nomi highly UV resistant, but also allows for easy cleaning. The more sustainable shell consists even of 90% recycled materials. The chairs with cover come with this shell as standard, but this chair is also available without a cover and is a real eye-catcher with a good story to tell.
