To reduce landfill waste and limit the extraction of new materials, we use as many recycled materials as possible in our furniture. We select materials suitable for infinite reuse and apply strict selection criteria. These include responsible sourcing, sustainable origins, healthy materials, minimal environmental impact, maximum durability, and circularity.
In order not to deplete the earth, we work with a circular system. This allows us to reuse materials for as long as possible and to make new raw materials from old materials. The technical lifespan of our materials is often much longer than the average useful life of our furniture: it is often only 8 to 10 years. By reusing materials over multiple use cycles, we maintain the maximum value of materials and prevent material loss.
45% of all CO2 emissions come from the production of materials.
Every year, around 5,000 Compact table tops are returned to the Circular Hub. This is a strong material with a lifespan of more than 30 years. We refurbish the Compact table tops by giving them a new top layer. This way they will last another life. This saves about 95% CO2 emissions compared to the production of a new Compact table top.
When choosing recycled materials, we look at use, construction, strength, comfort, color or haptics, among other things. Sometimes we adapt a design to the properties of the material. We test recycled materials or recycled materials to the same requirements as virgin materials. This way you are guaranteed high quality and a long lifespan with our furniture
Within the recycled materials, there are 2 types of recycled plastics: post-consumer recycled materials (PCR) and post-industrial recycled materials (PIR). Post-consumer recycled materials come from used products. Post-industrial recycled materials come from industrial waste that is released during the production of new raw materials.
We work with suppliers, start-ups and social enterprises on the innovation of materials to close the loop.
With a vitalizing and sustainable working environment, we help you achieve your sustainability goals. And with our working environments, we ensure that you can distinguish yourself as an attractive employer.

This objective is part of the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi), which we have committed to. By 2050, this means eliminating greenhouse gas emissions across all our business activities, including our five factories, warehouses, and supply chain.
Materials must be safe before we use them in a circular manner. We require our suppliers to comply with RSL and SVHC standards in accordance with the latest REACH regulations.
